Day 1 of Seedling: Germinating Seeds

Day 1 – Germinating Seeds

If you are unable to clone from an existing mature healthy plant, the only other option is to start from seed. Just make sure you plant quality seeds from a reputable source. Remember that females are the plants you want to grow, not males or hermaphrodites. Feminized seeds are an easy option if you are not comfortable with clones.

Check List:

  1. Get Environments ready for the Seeds (check environment chart)
  2. Have all Materials ready
  3. pH Reverse Osmosis water to 6.0 and soak the paper towel, squeeze any excess water out of the paper towel, leaving it damp.
  4. Space seeds apart to where the root tails don’t intertwine with each other.
  5.  Place the paper towel in a zip lock bag, leaving a ¼ way open.
  6. Make sure to keep in a dark place, at 75 – 80 degrees F.
  7. Wait for roots to emerge from the seed, ideally 1/2” or longer in length. (Roughly Day 3 – 4)
